Melissa Ulum

Melissa, now Managing Partner, joined MS&S Search 20 years ago. She works closely with clients and our partners in every aspect of the search process - managing external communication, client and candidate outreach, assessment, and interview process facilitation. She works across industry and nonprofit sectors to provide strategic consultation as well as client and candidate assessment. Prior to joining MS&S, she worked for Bayer Pharmaceuticals, in high tech and retained search. Melissa graduated from the University of Oregon in Political Science and History. She regularly volunteers and enjoys travel, reading, skiing, gardening, political banter and keeping pace with her husband, two teenagers and active dog.


Tyler Kendall


Tyler’s search experience spans the past 20 plus years for both local and national firms. Prior to entering search, he spent 12 years in accounting and finance in roles through the Chief Financial Officer level. He brings a business partner approach to clients, using strong technical, analytical and outreach skills. He works effectively with nonprofits, but the bulk of his professional work is industry-based, including manufacturing, banking, engineering and service related companies. Tyler graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. He volunteers extensively and tends to remodel projects as well as an extensive network of family and friends.

Linda Kozlowski (Of Counsel)

Linda Kozlowski’s experience includes 40 plus years of successful executive search and consulting. She served on the Executive Board of Associated Oregon Industries, the Executive Committee of the Regional Board of the American Red Cross, and the Board of the Portland Chamber of Commerce. Linda is certified by the National Association of Personnel Consultants (CPC). She now lives on the beautiful Oregon Coast, currently serving on Manzanita’s City Council, as President of the Emergency Volunteer Corps and as a Board Member of the CARTM, the local recycling center.
